Although formally founded in 1975, the Dixon Ticonderoga Company has roots and company ties dating back to the Revolutionary War. The company heritage is tied to Joseph Dixon, who was the founder of the American Crayon company and one of the oldest suppliers of school products; and Louis Prang, who was a world renowned chromolithographer, artist, and art educator. Based in Heathrow, FL., the company also has locations in Canada and Italy.
