Headquartered in St. Paul, MN, 3M is a global entity that owns and produces a number of well known brands including: Filtrete Nexcare Post-it Scotch Scotch Brite Scotchguard Ace Under all these brands, 3M offers thousands of products. 3M has an interesting history as the company was started in 1902 in Two Harbors, MN as a mining company. It was originally called the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company. In 1905, they abandoned the mining idea and moved to Duluth, MN to focus on producing sandpaper products.
